A Decade On THE Mountain

Ten years ago, a seed was planted. It sprouted from a love of crisp mountain air, the thrill of a perfectly struck drive, and the camaraderie forged amidst the breathtaking scenery of Sugarloaf and Sunday River. What began as spontaneous getaways – taking full advantage of those irresistible stay-and-play packages – has blossomed into the Rick O'Shea Classic, a golf tournament unlike any other.

For years, we'd escaped to the mountains, small groups of close friends and family seeking refuge from the everyday. We discovered a hidden gem: mountain golf. Spectacular views unfolded at every tee, each fairway a testament to the raw beauty of the outdoors. It was a place to disconnect, reconnect, and simply be in the moment.

But this magic was too good to keep to ourselves. We envisioned sharing this experience, expanding our circle of friends who could appreciate the unique charm of mountain golf. And so, the Rick O'Shea Classic was born.

Now, as we approach our tenth anniversary, the tournament has welcomed over 155 different players, each one drawn to the allure of the mountains and the promise of unforgettable rounds. Our growth has been organic, a testament to the power of word-of-mouth. Each player, captivated by the experience, invites their own buddies, ensuring the quality and character of our participants remain top-tier.

The Rick O'Shea Classic isn't just a tournament; it's an invitation. An invitation to experience the exhilaration of mountain golf, to forge lasting friendships, and to witness the awe-inspiring beauty that has captivated us for a decade. It's an experience everyone should have.

Join us as we celebrate ten years of the Rick O'Shea Classic and continue the tradition for years to come. Come discover the magic for yourself.

Rick Who?!?

Whispers drift through the pines, tales of a shadowy figure who dwells amongst the trees lining the fairways. They speak of Rick O'Shea, a legendary golfer, some say a mischievous spirit, forever bound to the woods. His name, a playful echo of the very game itself, hints at his peculiar connection to wayward drives. Some claim he's a figment of overactive imaginations, a convenient excuse for a poorly struck shot. Others, however, swear they've felt his presence, a subtle shift in the wind, a ball inexplicably bouncing back from the dense undergrowth. The true believers, those who understand the playful spirit of the game, know the secret: Rick lives in the woods, watching, waiting. And if you're truly lucky, if you show your support with a hearty cry of "RICK!", perhaps, just perhaps, he'll guide your ball back onto the fairway. But shhh… it's a secret best discovered for yourself.
